The figure-hugging outfit allowed the 30-year-old Kenyan actress to flaunt her impressively athletic physique.
Mexico-born Lupita has admitted she was overcome with emotion when she learned she had been nominated for an best supporting actress Oscar.
She said: 'I had a very good cry with my best friend, and then we had a dance party, just me and him.'
The down-to-earth actress admits she is struggling to come to terms with her newfound fame, which hit home after her first encounter with the paparazzi.

'I was blissfully ignorant of the magnitude of the project I was in or what it was going to mean for the world.'
But she was not the only person making their mark at the glittering event, which celebrated this year's Academy Award nominees.

A host of big name stars and top studio executives and producers went to Wolfgang Puck's Spago for the thrilling event.
Among them was Jared Leto, who told the Reporter he cannot believe he has been nominated for his turn as Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club, saying: 'It feels like a gift.
'With the history of the Academy and the performances, I've been inspired by so many different people that are nominated this year. It's a great year for cinema.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who looked dapper in an Armani suit said his nomination for best actor was down to The Wolf of Wall Street director Martin Scorsese, saying: 'It's amazing -- it's amazing the energy he brought to it.'
