British illusionist Dynamo couldn't make Cristiano Ronaldo magically appear on the pitch for Real Madrid at the weekend but he was was happy to bring some of his own special flair to the Ballon d'Or winner's birthday party.

Ronaldo's response via his official Twitter account was an emphatic 'Thanks, you're fantastic.'

Ronaldo had earlier missed out on the glory of sending his side ahead of Atletico Madrid to the top of the Spanish league table - he was banned after being sent off for the seventh time in his career in against Athletic Bilbao.
Karim Benzema struck twice in an impressive Real performance Madrid as they beat Villarreal 4-2 to go ahead of Atletico on goal difference, until Barcelona's win over Sevilla on Sunday saw the Catalans leap-frog them both.
For Real, Gareth Bale marked his return to the side after injury with the opening goal before setting up Benzema to give the home side a commanding lead. Mario Gaspar replied for Villarreal before the break.
Jesé restored Real's two-goal cushion and, after Giovani Dos Santos scored a fine free kick, Benzema made it 4-2.
