Serie A will start a little later than usual following next year's World Cup, the Italian Football League (Legacalcio) said on Friday.
The 2014/15 season will begin on August 31, 2014 and end on May 31, 2015 with a winter break from December 21 to January 5.
The Italian Supercup will once again be played in Beijing, on August 23, unless one of the two sides are involved in the preliminary stages of the Champions League.
This season the league began on August 24 with the final round of matches due to be played on Sunday, May 18.
